At TI Umrah, we understand that planning your Umrah journey can bring up many questions, especially for first-time pilgrims. From understanding the visa process and flight arrangements to knowing what to pack, how to perform the rituals correctly, and what to expect during your stay in Makkah and Madinah — the process can feel overwhelming without proper guidance. That’s why we are here to help you every step of the way. Our goal is to ensure your journey is spiritually enriching, logistically smooth, and fully supported from start to finish. Whether you’re traveling alone, with family, or in a group, we want you to feel confident and well-prepared. Below, you’ll find answers to some of the most frequently asked questions from pilgrims just like you before they book with us.
Booking & Travel
A: Our Umrah packages are designed to provide a complete experience. They typically include visa processing with insurance, round-trip airfare, hotel accommodation near the Haram in Makkah and Masjid an-Nabawi in Madinah, daily buffet meals, ground transportation for intercity travel and Ziyarah tours, guided Umrah support, Zamzam water, and a travel kit with essentials. The inclusions may vary slightly depending on the package tier (Economy, Semi-Deluxe, or Deluxe).
A: Currently, our Umrah groups depart from Delhi, but other departure points such as Mumbai or Hyderabad can be arranged on request depending on group size and availability. Group travel ensures ease of coordination and better support throughout the journey.
Religious Questions
A: Yes, absolutely. We provide the support of experienced guides (usually a religious scholar or a trained group leader) who assist you with every step — from wearing Ihram and making the intention to performing Tawaf and Sa’i. They are available to answer questions, offer reminders, and help ensure your Umrah is performed correctly and peacefully.travel sessions or share video material to help you prepare.
A: Women under the age of 45 must be accompanied by a Mahram. Those above 45 may travel in groups with proper permissions. We offer female-friendly groups with appropriate arrangements.
Payments & Refunds
A: A small deposit (usually ₹10,000–₹20,000) secures your spot. The full payment is required before departure. Installments can be discussed
A: Our refund policy depends on the stage of the booking, visa status, and airline/hotel cancellation terms. Generally, if the visa has not been processed, and the flight/hotel bookings are refundable, we can offer partial refunds. However, non-refundable components will be deducted. We advise booking early and communicating any changes as soon as possible.
Safety & Comfort
A: Yes. The Saudi government has ensured strong health protocols. You may be required to show vaccination proof or install apps like Nusuk for access to the Rawdah and Haram areas.
A: We provide basic medical support and guidance, and can help you access local hospitals if needed. Travel insurance may also cover emergencies.
General Questions
A: Umrah is the “lesser pilgrimage” to Makkah, which can be performed at any time of the year. It consists of four main rituals: Ihram, Tawaf, Sa’i, and Halq/Taqsir (shaving/trimming hair). It is a highly recommended act of worship in Islam.
A: No, Umrah is not obligatory like Hajj, but it is a Sunnah Mu’akkadah (highly recommended). Performing it even once in a lifetime brings immense spiritual rewards.
A: Yes, it is permissible. Many pilgrims perform 1–2 additional Umrahs if time and physical energy permit. However, it is recommended to focus on quality of worship rather than quantity.
Visa & Documentation
A: To apply for an Umrah visa, you’ll need a valid passport with at least six months of validity, two recent passport-sized photographs, a confirmed return flight ticket, hotel booking confirmation, and valid vaccination certificates (COVID-19 and meningitis are mandatory). Our team will assist you in organizing and submitting all necessary documents.
A: Yes, Saudi Arabia allows Umrah on tourist and e-visa for certain nationalities. Please check with us based on your passport and travel history.
Preparation & Packing
A: Pilgrims should pack essentials such as Ihram garments (two white unstitched sheets for men; loose, modest clothing for women), unscented toiletries, a pair of sandals or slippers, a prayer mat, a small bag for carrying shoes, a water bottle, medications, and a dua book. We also provide a travel kit with useful items for your comfort and convenience during the journey.
During the Journey
A: All our hotels are selected for their convenience and proximity. In Makkah, accommodations are generally within 300 to 600 meters of Masjid al-Haram, and in Madinah, hotels are typically within 200 to 300 meters of Masjid an-Nabawi. This ensures that pilgrims can easily attend prayers and spend more time in worship.
A: Yes, daily buffet meals (Indian style) are included in most packages. Meals are generally served at the hotel.
